Grammy award nominated artist Shemekia Copeland, was in town over this weekend September 20th, after performing in ASPEN... on the way from there to Steamboat Springs.. then to Denver to perform, her and her band stopped in this town and was rejected service DUE TO HER COLOR. Very sad to say that in a small town like this.. in the West.... there are still dumb ignorant people who act this way. I have lived in Colorado for over 18 years and have never this happening here and I am from the South! Denver folks who had read this post from her on Social Media.. not only welcomed her to Denver... will make sure this event will be posted everywhere! Shame on you Yampa. Shame on You!
